Troubleshooting leads, contacts & companies

What you’ll need:

  • Any Kommo plan (Base, Advanced, Pro, Enterprise, or 14-day trial)

Keep in mind:

  • To import a spreadsheet, make sure it does not exceed 2 MB, contains no more than 10,000 rows, has no empty rows, and includes only one sheet. Only files that meet these requirements can be imported

  • Each Kommo plan includes a limited number of leads, contacts, and companies. You can view the exact limits here

Data import errors

Spreadsheet fails to import or fields are misaligned.
How to fix:

  • Verify that all required columns are filled and properly formatted.

  • Ensure matching field names for automatic linking.

  • Use Kommo’s import preview to check field mapping before completing the import.

Duplicate leads, contacts, or companies

The same record appears more than once.
How to fix:

  • Avoid importing duplicate data by creating a separate spreadsheet for new records.

  • Merge duplicates after import.

Leads not linked to contacts or companies after import

Leads aren’t automatically linked to the right contact or company.
How to fix:

  • Ensure your spreadsheets have matching fields (e.g., company name, contact name).

  • During import, map the relevant fields to link records.

  • You can also manually link a lead to a contact or company from the lead card.
