Troubleshoot Kommo webforms

This content is currently unavailable in Türkçe. You are viewing the default (English) version.

What you’ll need

  • A Kommo account on any plan or an active 14-day trial.

  • An existing Kommo webform added as a lead source.

  • Administrator access in Kommo to open the pipeline automation settings and edit the webform.

  • Access to your website editor when troubleshooting an embedded form.

Keep in mind

  • An embedded webform requires a website editor that supports custom HTML.

  • Each submission creates a lead in the stage selected for the form.

  • Submitted information is saved only to the lead, contact, or company fields included in the form.

Here are the most common issues you can encounter with Kommo webforms and the checks you can use to resolve them.

Common errors and how to fix them

If there are multiple issues, use this list to jump to the one you’re seeing:

The webform doesn’t appear on the website

Why this happens: The webform code was not added to a custom HTML or code block, or the website page was not saved or published after the code was added.

What to do:

  1. In Kommo, open the pipeline that contains the form and click Automate.

  2. In Lead sources, open the required Kommo webform.

  3. Open Form placement and copy the HTML code.

  4. In your website editor, open the required page and add a custom HTML or code block.

  5. Paste the code into the block.

  6. Save or publish the page, then open the published version and check the form.

For the complete placement workflow, see Add a Kommo webform to your website.

Webform changes are not visible

Why this happens: The latest form changes were not saved in Kommo, or the website page still has unpublished changes.

What to do:

  1. Open the webform in the pipeline automation settings.

  2. Review the changes on the Edit fields, Form settings, or Form placement tab.

  3. Click Save.

  4. Open the website page that contains the form.

  5. Save or publish any pending website changes.

  6. Open the published page and check the form again.

For the complete creation workflow, see Create a Kommo webform.

A submission doesn’t create a lead

Why this happens: The form is connected to a different pipeline stage than the one being checked, or the latest form settings were not saved before the test.

What to do:

  1. Open the webform in the pipeline automation settings.

  2. Open Form settings and confirm the destination pipeline stage.

  3. Click Save.

  4. Open the form using the link or embedded version shown in Form placement.

  5. Submit a new test response with details you can recognize.

  6. Open the selected pipeline and stage, then look for the new lead.

Submitted details are missing

Why this happens: The missing lead, contact, or company field was not included in the webform when the response was submitted.

What to do:

  1. Open the webform in the pipeline automation settings.

  2. Open Edit fields.

  3. Check whether the required field is included under Leads, Contacts, Companies, or Additional.

  4. Add the missing field and click Save.

  5. Submit a new test response.

  6. Open the new lead and check the corresponding lead, contact, or company field.
