What you’ll need:

  • Any Kommo plan (Base, Advanced, Pro, Enterprise, or a 14-day trial).

Keep in mind:

  • Kommo AI works best when your messages match your interface language. It supports English, Indonesian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Turkish. Results may vary for other languages.

  • Only text is supported in this feature.

  • AI responses are generated based on available data, so results may vary depending on your content.

  • Kommo AI usage limits apply and may temporarily restrict access to certain features when reached.

In this article, you’ll learn how AI suggestions work in Kommo and how to use them to make your messages clearer and more effective as you type.

How to set up AI suggestions

AI suggestions analyze your message as you type and recommend quick improvements based on tone, clarity, length, and writing accuracy. These suggestions appear automatically in the chatbox and help you refine your message before sending it.

The AI suggestions tool is available once Kommo AI is enabled in your account. It works automatically in the chatbox — no setup needed.

It detects and recommends changes for common issues in your messages, including:

1. Profanity check

Helps prevent accidental inappropriate wording caused by typos or misspellings.

2. Grammar and spelling

Detects and corrects grammar and spelling errors to keep your messages clear and accurate.

3. Built-in tone assistant

Analyzes your message and suggests making it more friendly if it sounds too formal or negative.

4. Length adjustment

Suggests shortening long messages while keeping the main idea clear.

How to use AI suggestions

To start trying out AI suggestions:

  1. Go to Communications → Chat inbox and open a chat.

  2. Type your message in the chatbox.

  3. As you write, suggestions appear automatically. These can include:

    1. Profanity check — helps prevent inappropriate wording caused by typos

    2. Grammar and spelling — fixes writing mistakes

    3. Built-in tone assistant — makes your message sound more friendly

    4. Length adjustment — shortens long messages while keeping the main idea.

    Note: If your message reaches a certain length (around 3000 characters), the Make it Shorter button automatically appears. Clicking it shortens your text while preserving its key message.

    Important: Suggestions for grammar, tone, and profanity are available for messages under 1800 characters.

  4. To apply a suggestion, click on it.

  5. The updated text will replace your original message.

You can undo the change at any time by clicking Undo changes.

Example:

You’re trying to close a deal and want to offer a limited-time discount.

You write the following message:

‘Hi, we can offer you a 10% discount if you confirm your order today. We may also be able to include free delivery depending on your location.’

A suggestion appears: Make it friendly

After clicking it, the message becomes:

‘Hi! 😊 We’d be happy to offer you a 10% discount if you confirm today. We may also be able to include free delivery too, depending on your location!’
