## Setting up your Welcome message

A welcome message is a TikTok-approved message that automatically greets and accepts new leads when they open a DM chat with your business. It also allows them to send more than the usual limit of three messages.

- This message must comply with TikTok’s [Terms](https://www.tiktok.com/legal/page/row/terms-of-service/en) and [Policies](https://www.tiktok.com/legal/page/row/privacy-policy/en).
- The review process is usually quick (almost immediately).
- The message has a limit of 250 characters.

![](https://cdn.document360.io/56933ead-06fc-4574-95de-8fa458a5db1d/Images/Documentation/tiktok-messages-EN.png)

> [!NOTE]
> **Note****:** The Welcome message will be sent to **every user that opens your TikTok DMs with**, but they will not become leads in Kommo, unless the **user sends a message****.**

1. To set it up, click **Manage** in the **Welcome message** box.

![](https://cdn.document360.io/56933ead-06fc-4574-95de-8fa458a5db1d/Images/Documentation/tiktok-features-EN.png)
2. To activate it, **enable the Welcome message toggle**. A confirmation modal window will appear. Click **Enable**. Then write your Welcome message, and **Send for review****.**

![](https://cdn.document360.io/56933ead-06fc-4574-95de-8fa458a5db1d/Images/Documentation/Welcome-message-EN.png)

> [!NOTE]
> **Note****:** Although TikTok states that the character limit for a welcome message is 250, the platform calculates characters in a unique way. As a result, messages close to this limit may still exceed it. To avoid issues, we recommend keeping your message well under 250 characters.

After submitting your welcome message for review, you may see one of the following statuses:t

- **In review by TikTok. This process may take up to 3 hours.** - Your message is still being reviewed.
- **Approved by TikTok** - Your message has been approved. New leads will now see it when they open a DM chat with your business on TikTok.
- **Rejected by TikTok. Please ensure your message complies with the policies**. - Your message did not meet TikTok’s Terms and Policies and was not approved.

To resubmit:

1. Click on the message text.
2. Make the necessary edits.
3. Click **Send for Review** again. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/56933ead-06fc-4574-95de-8fa458a5db1d/Images/Documentation/welcome-message-status-EN.png)

## Setting up your Suggested questions

Suggested questions is a feature that allows leads to view up to 3 questions when opening your DM, tap them and get instant answers for them.

- The questions and answers must comply with TikTok’s [Terms](https://www.tiktok.com/legal/page/row/terms-of-service/en) and [Policies](https://www.tiktok.com/legal/page/row/privacy-policy/en).
- Questions and answers are shown to leads **who have not previously** had a conversation with your business yet.
- Questions have a **limit of 80 characters.**
- Answers have a **limit of 200 characters.**

1. To set it up, click **Manage** in the **Suggested questions** box.

![](https://cdn.document360.io/56933ead-06fc-4574-95de-8fa458a5db1d/Images/Documentation/tiktok-features2-EN.png)
2. To activate it, **enable the toggle**. A confirmation modal window will appear. Now, click **Add a suggested question****.**

![](https://cdn.document360.io/56933ead-06fc-4574-95de-8fa458a5db1d/Images/Documentation/suggested-questions2-EN.png)
3. Now, a modal window will appear. Write your question in the first textbox, add its answer in the second one, and then click **Send for review****.**

![](https://cdn.document360.io/56933ead-06fc-4574-95de-8fa458a5db1d/Images/Documentation/suggested-questions3-EN.png)
4. After saving them and submitting them for TikTok’s review, you’ll see each item listed along with its current status. From this view, you can also select, edit, or delete them.

The possible statuses are:
  - **In review** - Still being reviewed by TikTok.
  - **Approved** - Your question and answer were approved. Leads will see them when they open a DM chat with your business.
  - **Rejected** - Your question and answer did not meet TikTok’s guidelines and will not be shown to leads.

To resubmit:

1. Edit the question and/or answer.
2. Click **Send for Review** again.

![](https://cdn.document360.io/56933ead-06fc-4574-95de-8fa458a5db1d/Images/Documentation/suggested-questions-status-EN.png)

> [!NOTE]
> **Note****:** The suggested questions are automatically synchronized in the TikTok app, and you can check them by going to the app *Business Suite → Message Center → Suggested questions*. If edited in the TikTop app, they are also synchronized in Kommo.

Once the integration setup is complete, you can:

- **Receive and respond to TikTok messages** in Kommo, keeping all conversations in one place.

## Setting up your Chat prompts

Chat prompts are quick-reply buttons that appear above the message box in TikTok chat. When a lead clicks one, a pre-written message is automatically sent to you — making it easier for customers to ask common questions like Are these in stock? or What’s your delivery time?.

Each chat prompt has two parts:

- **Button text:** What customers see above the message box
- **Prompt message**: The message sent to you when they click the button

> [!WARNING]
> **Important****:** All Chat prompts must be **approved by TikTok** before they appear in chat.

![](https://cdn.document360.io/56933ead-06fc-4574-95de-8fa458a5db1d/Images/Documentation/tiktok-chat-prompts-endsfsg.png)

To set them up, follow these steps:

1. Open the widget, and click **Manage** in the Chat prompts box.

![](https://cdn.document360.io/56933ead-06fc-4574-95de-8fa458a5db1d/Images/Documentation/tiktok-chat-prompts-1-enefwefwe.png)
2. Turn on the **Chat prompts** switch, then click **Add a new chat prompt****.**

![](https://cdn.document360.io/56933ead-06fc-4574-95de-8fa458a5db1d/Images/Documentation/tiktok-chat-prompts-2-en.png)

> [!NOTE]
> **Note****:** You can turn Chat prompts off anytime using the same switch.
3. Enter:

![](https://cdn.document360.io/56933ead-06fc-4574-95de-8fa458a5db1d/Images/Documentation/tiktok-chat-prompts-3-en.png)
  - **Prompt name:** The text shown on the button (max **18 characters**)
  - **Prompt message****:** The message sent when the button is clicked (max **150 characters**)
4. Click **Send for review** to submit your prompt for TikTok approval.

Now you’ve set up a prompt chat! TikTok should review and approve your prompt in a few moments, then it’ll be ready to use.

### Managing your Chat prompts

Once your chat prompts are created, you can easily manage them from the same **Chat prompts** section in your TikTok integration widget.

#### To edit a chat prompt:

- Click on the prompt you want to update.
- Make your changes to the **name** or **message** fields.
- After saving, you’ll need to **send the prompt for TikTok approval again** before it becomes active.

> [!NOTE]
> **Note****:** TikTok requires re-approval for all edited prompts to ensure they meet their policies.
- If a **chat prompt is rejected** by TikTok, you can open the prompt, adjust the text so it follows TikTok’s [Terms and Policies](https://www.tiktok.com/legal/page/row/terms-of-service/en), and send it for review again.

#### To delete a chat prompt:

- Select the checkbox next to one or more prompts you want to remove.
- A **Delete** button will appear — click it to confirm.
- You can delete a single prompt or multiple prompts at once.
