# Set up and customize broadcasts in Kommo

> 
> - Available in Advanced and Enterprise plans or an active 14-day trial.
> 
> **Limitations:**
> 
> - Only users with Administrator permissions can create and send broadcasts.
> - Leads will be excluded from broadcasts if:
> 
> - Their profile lacks the required communication channel.
> 
> - Contact information is missing in their lead card.
> 
> - For Facebook, the lead hasn’t subscribed to the required opt-in topic

## What is broadcasting?

Broadcasting in Kommo allows you to send personalized messages to multiple leads at once. This guide walks you through the basic steps to get you started with broadcasting.

## Before setting up broadcasts

To start, follow these steps:

1. Open **WhatsApp > Broadcasting****.**

Alternatively, you can open **Chats > Chat tools > click Broadcasting.**

2. To help you launch your first broadcast, Kommo provides a quick setup process:
  - If you've connected a channel, skip this step. If not, click **Connect channels** to add one.

After connecting, leads from those channels will automatically show up in your pipeline, allowing you to send broadcasts to them.
  - You can also upload an Excel file or connect a Google Sheets file for direct import. Click Import leads to upload a file with additional leads:

> **Note:** After importing leads, you can always add more by clicking **Import more**.

3. Start setting up a broadcast by clicking **New broadcast.**

You can also start by using a preset:

## How to set up broadcasting?

Clicking **New broadcast** opens a presets window. You can select a preset or click **Start from scratch** to create a custom broadcast.

Next, an advanced settings broadcast window will open where you can review your audience, select a connected channel, choose or create a message template, and set the launch time — either to send immediately or schedule for later. You’ll also see a preview of your message as it will appear to recipients.

### Bot broadcasts

You can also create a broadcast via a Salesbot setup window:

1. Open Leads and click the ellipsis button. Click **New broadcast****.**

2. Select **Bot broadcast.**

3. Select an existing bot from the dropdown menu, or click **Create a new bot** to set one up. Only active bots will appear in the dropdown.

4. Click **Next** to proceed or **Cancel** to exit the window without saving.

5. Add a name for your broadcast in the **Broadcast name** field and set the launch time (send immediately or schedule for later).

6. Click **Finish****.**

## What happens after you send or schedule a broadcast

Once you send or schedule your broadcast, you’ll be automatically redirected to the **Broadcasting** page. You can access it anytime by clicking on the gear icon in the **Chats** section and select the **Broadcasting** subsection.
