# Broadcasting overview

#

> [!NOTE]
> **Requirements:**
>
> - Available on Advanced, Pro, and Enterprise plans, or during the 14-day trial.
>
> **Limitations:**
>
> - Only administrators can send broadcasts.
> - Broadcast character limits depend on the channel you’re using, for example:
> - WhatsApp Business – 1024 characters.
> - Instagram and Facebook – 1000 characters.
> - Telegram – 4096 characters.
> - A maximum of 3 buttons can be included in each broadcast.

Broadcasting allows you to send or schedule a message to multiple people at once. Each person receives the message as a private conversation — no group chats, and no one sees who else received it.[Video](https://cdn.document360.io/56933ead-06fc-4574-95de-8fa458a5db1d/Images/Documentation/broadcasting-overview-en2.mp4)

Here’s how it works:

1. **Choose the type of broadcast:** You can either use Salesbot or create a custom broadcast.
2. **Select recipients:** Choose which contacts will receive the message. You can filter contacts by tags, stages, or other criteria.
3. **Select channels:** Decide which messaging channels to use (e.g., WhatsApp Business, Instagram). You can send through one or several.
4. **Use a template or write a new message:** Either select an existing message template or write a new one for this broadcast: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/56933ead-06fc-4574-95de-8fa458a5db1d/Images/Documentation/broadcasting-overview-image-jy0j75kf.png)
5. **Schedule or send:** Send the message immediately or schedule it for later.
6. **Track delivery:** After sending, you can monitor how the message performs.

For setup instructions, see the [How to set up broadcasting? article](/v1/docs/set-up-and-customize-broadcasts-in-kommo).

## **Use cases**

1. **Share offers or promotions:** Notify contacts about discounts, sales, or limited-time deals, for example: ![](https://cdn.document360.io/56933ead-06fc-4574-95de-8fa458a5db1d/Images/Documentation/broadcasting-overview-image-k36kwicl.png)
2. **Send business updates:** Inform customers about changes to your services, working hours, or product availability.
3. **Stay in touch with your audience:** Send greetings, event information, or general announcements.
4. **Send reminders:** Follow up on appointments, upcoming events, or payment deadlines.
5. **Request feedback or reviews:** Ask customers for their thoughts after a purchase or service.
6. **Provide onboarding info:** Send welcome messages or basic instructions to new contacts.

The **Broadcasting** page in Chat tools is organized into four sections based on status:

- **Scheduled** – Broadcasts set to be sent at a later time. You can review or edit them before they start. **Note:** Broadcasts set to send immediately will briefly appear here before moving to Ongoing.
- **Ongoing** – Broadcasts currently being sent. Useful for tracking ongoing activity.
- **Drafts** – Saved broadcasts that haven’t been scheduled or sent. You can edit and send them anytime.
- **Completed** – Broadcasts that have already been sent. You can review their details and performance here.
