# Automate Instagram comment replies

If you’re a creator, influencer, or small business owner selling through Instagram, keeping up with comments can be overwhelming. Manually replying to each one takes time, and missing important interactions can cost you leads or sales. The Instagram comments automation feature helps you stay on top of these conversations by automating replies to incoming comments.

## What is Instagram comments automation?

Instagram comments automation lets you set up automatic replies to comments on your Instagram posts. You can define specific keywords to trigger responses, customize replies, and even send direct messages (DMs) with additional information.

This feature is especially useful for creators, influencers, and small businesses who use Instagram to drive engagement and sales. It helps streamline follower interactions, ensures no important leads are missed, and encourages conversions by directing followers through your sales funnel.

## Requirements to use Instagram comments automation

To use Instagram Comments Automation, you’ll need:

- An Advanced or Enterprise plan, or a trial account with access to Kommo’s Salesbot.
- Your Instagram account is connected to Kommo. Need help connecting your Instagram? Check out our article [here](/v1/docs/connect-instagram-to-kommo).

## How to set up Instagram comments automation in Kommo

Follow these steps to get started with Instagram comments automation:

1. Go to **Settings > Communication tools**, then navigate to the **Salesbots** section in Kommo. Click **Create a new bot.**

2. In the visual builder, select **Condition**.

3. In the condition step, choose **If Client comment Equals: Manual input** and enter a specific **keyword** that will trigger the automation. In the example below, the keyword is “I want a discount”.

4. Click the **Add next step** button and select **Comment**. Choose your **Instagram account** as the channel and enter the response you want to send to your clients when their comment triggers the automation.

5. Next, click the **Add next step** button again and select **Message**. Then you can create a new message or choose a template to be sent as a direct message to your clients. After you're done, click **Save & Continue.**

6. You'll then be prompted to set the execution condition and triggers. For the “When this happens” trigger, navigate to “Conversational triggers” and select **When a comment is received on 'Your Instagram account' on ‘any posts** or **selected post(s)’.**

1. Once everything is set, click **Done** to start the Salesbot.

Once set up, customers who leave comments containing your chosen keywords will automatically receive your response. Here is how it will look:

Commenters will also automatically receive a DM:
